The incident took place in January and was reported in February, police say
Calgary police have pressed charges against a man in his 40s after a sexual assault was reported by the client of a massage therapy clinic.
It is alleged the incident occurred at Parkview Massage and Wellness, 3125-380 Canyon Meadows Dr. S.E., in January 2025.
“It is believed that during the session the massage therapist touched the victim in a sexual manner without consent,” the Calgary Police Service said in a news release on Tuesday afternoon.
“The victim reported the incident to police in February 2025.”
The police thanked Parkview Massage and Wellness for its co-operation during the investigation.
Massage therapist Donald Patrick Harris, 46, has been charged with one count of sexual assault. Harris is to appear in court on May 8, 2025.
Police also reminded the public there is no statute of limitations for sex crimes in Canada.
“Anyone who believes they are a victim of sexual assault is encouraged to report it, even if many years have passed since the incident,” police said.
