Convicted sex offender wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested in North Bay

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad says the offender who’s been “unlawfully at large” since Nov. 26 was arrested in North Bay.
Brandon Roy was located and arrested by the North Bay Police Service.
“On December 6, while conducting a foot patrol of North Bay’s downtown core, a member of the North Bay Police Service located Brandon Roy in the 200-block of Main Street East. Roy was arrested after a brief foot chase. ” says a news release.
The Ontario Provincial Police’s ROPE Squad had been seeking to locate Roy after he had broken his statutory release.

Three counts of failing to comply with an order at large
Fail to comply with SOIRA Registration Order, a federal law that allows judges to order that convicted sex offenders register with the government.
