Brian Porter, 71, of Nauwigewauk, was sentenced to 33 months in prison Friday for exposing himself to a six-year-old girl in 2023 and coaxing her to touch him for a sexual purpose. The judge noted it happened more than once.
A judge sentenced an older man to prison on Friday for repeatedly displaying his penis to a six-year-old child and forcing her to touch it, as well as for his “ejaculatory emissions.” About 25 kilometres northeast of Saint John, on Bonney Road in Nauwigewauk, Brian Porter, 70, appeared via video conference in Fredericton provincial court to hear Judge Karen Lee’s sentencing ruling.
He’d previously pleaded guilty to exposing his genitals to a minor for a sexual purpose and inviting that child to touch him sexually.
The offences occurred in Keswick Ridge near Fredericton between Jan. 1 and June 17, 2023. There’s a court-ordered publication ban in effect protecting the young victim’s identity.
