A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for a Saint John man charged with child luring and extortion.

The New Brunswick RCMP say 43-year-old Richard (Ricky) Michael Michaelson is accused of extorting images of a sexual nature from an underage girl and threatening to distribute them online.

The alleged incidents happened between July and October 2014.

Michaelson is described as Caucasian, about 5’8″ tall and weighing 128 pounds with a slim build.

He has short, light-coloured hair and blue eyes.

Mounties are asking anyone with information on Michaelson’s whereabouts to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
